St. Croix 360’s supporters come from far and wide — the map above shows where this year’s contributors call home. (It might be missing a few, and does not include folks from farther away.)

Looking at the map, notice how many supporters live near the water. Not just along the St. Croix but also its tributaries and lakes. It makes sense that people in close contact with our waters are interested in the issues affecting these cherished places.

It is also obvious that most of our support currently comes from around the lower river. That’s partly because there are a lot more people living in the southern part, but it’s also where St. Croix 360 is based and our coverage is biased by that fact.

I would love to get supporters from farther upriver and from throughout the watershed. To do that, I need to cover more stories from those areas, one of my main goals for next year. Supporters can help make that happen.
