Below are some great opportunities for families next weekend at Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. The programs are free, but a Minnesota State Park vehicle permit is required for all vehicles entering the park:

Glacial Potholes Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, June 6, Ongoing 10 AM-3 PM
Drop-in the visitor center between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to pick-up a short pothole scavenger hunt. Explore the story of the glacial potholes as you search for clues and claim a prize if you finish.

Tigers of the Night Sky
Saturday, June 6, 7-8 PM
Kids, bring your adults with you and discover just whooooooo is hunting in the night sky. Through activities and games we’ll find out just what makes owls such impressive hunters. No live owl will be present, but the evening is sure to be a hoot. Meet at the stone picnic shelter in the picnic grounds.

Little Explorers for Ages 3-6
Monday, June 8, 10-11 AM
Through stories, activities and a craft, our smallest visitors explore a new topic at the park each week. This engaging program is specially designed for children ages 3-6 and their adults. This week, discover just what a habitat is and why it is so important. Join the fun at the visitor center each Monday at 10 AM from June 8 to Aug. 24 (with the exception of July 6).
